Overview

ISA Innovation is committed to "smart partnering" and building knowledge communities. If you are interested in engaging with ISA Innovation on this level, then please contact us. Click here to see our current partners.

We also provide a number of mechanisms for collaborating with companies, organisations and university research groups. Examples of types of collaboration include:
Proof of Concept Projects
Proof of Concept projects will involve running an application of a computing requirement on the ISA facility that has not yet been tested on a similar High Performance Computing or Visualisation platform. Should the results of the trial prove attractive, the projects will be developed into significant on-going mature projects capable of attracting significant internal or external financial support. For such projects ISA would normally provide access to its facilities and technical expertise at a low cost.
Mature High Performance Computing Projects
Mature projects will involve running applications that have already been tested on advanced computing environments but where there is an identified need to employ ISA Innovation Supercomputing and Visualisation capability, either to provide on-going high performance computing support or to scale up the computation.
Partners

ISA Innovation is committed to "smart partnering" and building knowledge communities. Below is a list of partners and collaborators whom we are working closely with to define the next generation of Supercomputing and Visualisation research and service offerings. If you are interested in engaging with ISA Innovation on this level, then please contact us.

SpectrumData
In February 2007, ISA Technologies announced a strategic partnership with fellow Western Australian Technology Park company SpectrumData to develop the concept of a 'one stop shop' for data conversion, digitising, storage and processing of oil and gas data.

ISA Innovation provides specialist information technology services with a focus on HPC processing and 3D visualisation while SpectrumData provides specialist data asset management and data storage solutions including media and data conversion, data migration and data transcription. In order to provide the one stop shop approach, ISA is developing a 10 Gb broadband communications link to share data and support for both data storage and processing activities.
Vue Group
The Australian Centre for Digital Innovation (ACDI) is a Western Australian digital content joint venture between ISA Innovation and Western Australian film company, the Vue Group. ACDI was established as a commercial partnership to realise synergies of ISA High Performance Computing (HPC) and information technology together with Vue Group film production and animation expertise through its offices in Fremantle and Melbourne.

Vue Group has been producing film productions for over thirty years with a focus on documentary productions and financial backing and distribution through major film and television groups in Australia including ABC, Southern Broadcasting, PBL, Channel 7 and FOX and the Australian Film Finance Corporation. With alliance links to Manchester City Council and Red Vision in the UK, ACDI is seeking to form a global 24/7 digital special effects content cluster.
3D Millipede
3D Millipede is a Western Australian animation group focusing on engineering and architectural animation. ISA Technologies has worked with 3D Millipede on an engineering animation for the Australian Marine Complex of a Collins Class Submarine using a Floating Dock and a 3D Demonstrator of a Multistorey Building with Strata Title Information for Landgate, Western Australia's main government agency responsible for land information for their WALIS Forum 2008.
